Every year our Mina Fink Lecture features an inspiring and thought provoking speaker. This year the 2022 Mina Fink Lecturer is the acclaimed, highly entertaining journalist Jacqui Felgate.
Jacqui’s passion for sport saw her successfully chase her dream to become a sports journalist. She spent ten years at Channel 7 where she was a respected sports newsreader as well as the lead for Seven’s AFLW coverage, a member of the AFL broadcast team and a reporter for international events such as Wimbledon and the Olympics. This resulted in her being awarded two prestigious Melbourne Press Club Quill Awards.
Amongst many firsts, Jacqui was the first female to host the Brownlow Medal in 2020, and during COVID she turned to Instagram for provide the most comprehensive coverage of the pandemic in Melbourne. She is certainly someone who has made her own rules!
Dina Rosendorff, Manager at ABC Melbourne, is an award-winning journalist with experience in newspapers, TV and radio across Australia and the United State. She will lead the conversation with Jacqui and discuss with her how to break down barriers and find the courage to make your own rules in life.
